This study aims to analyze the influence of knowledge, practical work experience, and family environment on the interest of Sharia Banking students at IAIN Ponorogo in pursuing a career in Islamic banking. Research Methods: The research employed a quantitative method using primary data collected directly from respondents. Data was gathered through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. Finding/Results: The results indicate that: (1) knowledge, practical work experience, and family environment simultaneously influence the interest of Sharia Banking students at IAIN Ponorogo in pursuing a career in Islamic banking; (2) practical work experience, when analyzed partially, does not have a significant effect on students' interest in a career in Islamic banking; (3) in contrast, knowledge and family environment have a significant impact on the career interest of Sharia Banking students at IAIN Ponorogo. Conclusion: The Sharia Banking Department at IAIN Ponorogo should enhance Sharia-based education, involve families in career activities, and optimize practical work to meet industry needs.
Nanda Mutiara Fitra Rizal Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Economics and Social Sciences (JESS) 2024-11-29 2024-11-29 3 2 54 65 Peran Kebijakan Fiskal dalam Mendorong Pembangunan Infrastruktur di Indonesia: Studi Kasus Tahun 2023 https://journal.civiliza.org/index.php/jess/article/view/557
Introduction/Main Objectives: Infrastructure development is crucial for driving economic growth and societal well-being in Indonesia. This research aims to analyze the development of Sharia mutual funds in Indonesia in 2023, which have experienced significant growth in line with rising public interest in Sharia-compliant investments. Research Methods: The study employs a qualitative approach by analyzing secondary data obtained from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) reports, relevant publications, and the latest statistical data. Finding/Results: The findings reveal that the net asset value of Sharia mutual funds reached IDR 42.78 trillion in 2023. This growth was driven by financial technology innovations and efforts to improve financial literacy among the public. Despite this positive trend, challenges persist, such as limited accessibility to products and inadequate public understanding of Sharia mutual funds. Conclusion: The study concludes that Sharia mutual funds hold substantial potential in supporting Indonesia's Sharia economy. However, more effective strategies are needed to enhance education and accessibility to Sharia-compliant financial products, thereby encouraging broader public participation in Sharia investments.
Nur An-Nisa’ Aulia Budiani nggit Putu Istichomah Zhenike Bubulia Putri Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Economics and Social Sciences (JESS) 2024-12-31 2024-12-31 3 2 79 90 Pemberdayaan UMKM sebagai Strategi Pemerintah untuk Mengurangi Kemiskinan di Indonesia Tahun 2020–2023 https://journal.civiliza.org/index.php/jess/article/view/560
Introduction/Main Objectives: Poverty remains a significant challenge for Indonesia's economic development, further exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, making the empowerment of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) a key strategy for sustainable solutions. This study aims to analyze government strategies for poverty alleviation in Indonesia through MSME empowerment during the period 2020–2023. Research Methods: The research employs a qualitative approach with a literature review, encompassing articles, scientific journals, books, and official government reports, to identify policies, programs, and challenges encountered. Finding/Results: The findings reveal that (1) financial assistance and subsidies for MSMEs helped sustain businesses during the pandemic; (2) MSME digitalization programs, including e-commerce training and digital platform provision, enhanced the competitiveness of local products; and (3) entrepreneurial training and market access expansion improved MSME capacities, although implementation remains uneven across Indonesia. Key challenges include limited digital literacy, inadequate infrastructure in remote areas, and weak oversight of aid distribution. Conclusion: This study concludes that MSME empowerment holds significant potential for poverty reduction if supported by sustainable policies, infrastructure strengthening, cross-sector collaboration, and continuous literacy and mentoring initiatives.
Azrene Dwi Ariani Diniardy Zouly Indra Cahyono Rhobatin Nur Azizah Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Economics and Social Sciences (JESS) 2024-12-31 2024-12-31 3 2 91 103 Tren Konsumsi Beras dan Implikasinya terhadap Ketahanan Pangan di Ponorogo Tahun 2021–2023 https://journal.civiliza.org/index.php/jess/article/view/561
Introduction/Main Objectives: Rice consumption in Indonesia reflects the socio-economic dynamics of society and serves as an important indicator for assessing national food security, including at the local level. This article aims to analyze the Trends in Rice Consumption and Its Implications for Food Security in Ponorogo from 2021 to 2023. Research Methods: The study uses secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency and other relevant sources, such as local government reports. The analysis is conducted using a descriptive quantitative approach, involving the evaluation of consumption trends, prices, and rice demand elasticity. Finding/Results: The results show that per capita rice consumption in Ponorogo has declined from 1.436 kg/week (2021) to 1.390 kg/week (2023). Key factors include food diversification, increased awareness of healthy eating habits, and changes in purchasing power. Rice demand is inelastic to price increases, indicating that rice remains an essential and irreplaceable staple. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that the decline in rice consumption reflects a shift in consumer food preferences towards more diverse options. The implication of these findings is the need for an effective food diversification strategy to maintain food security. Government policies should consider local socio-economic dynamics when designing food programs.
Mohammad Andre Prasetyo Anis Fadila Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Economics and Social Sciences (JESS) 2024-12-31 2024-12-31 3 2 104 116
