Pendidikan ala Partungkoan: Studi Pedagogis Kristen dalam Lingkungan Gereja

Partungkoan is a traditional deliberation forum for the Batak community that is full of participatory, dialogical, and contextual educational values. This article examines partungkoan as a Christian pedagogical model in the church environment, with a locus at GKPI Kota Damai Resort Tebing Tinggi II. The phenomenon of lapo tuak as a socialization space for fathers who tend to be negative, as well as their lack of presence in worship, is the background for the writing. Through literature studies and observations, the author analyzes the concept of church plutkoan as a non-formal educational space based on koinonia, marturia, and diakonia. Dialogue, discussion, example, and social concern become pedagogical methods that shape the character of Christ: obedient, diligent in prayer, loving, humble, patient, and responsible. This approach is strengthened by Dietrich Bonhoeffer's thoughts on the Christian community and Philip Yancey's about small groups as the family of God. The church is expected to be an alternative to Christian education that forms fathers as spiritual leaders of families and congregations.
