Authorship and Contributorship

1. Authorship Criteria

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made a significant intellectual contribution to the research and the preparation of the manuscript. All authors listed in a manuscript must meet the following criteria:

  • Contributed substantially to the conception or design of the research, data collection, data analysis, or interpretation of results.

  • Participated in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for important intellectual content.

  • Approved the final version of the manuscript before submission.

  • Agreed to be accountable for all aspects of the work and ensure that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately addressed.

Individuals who do not meet these criteria should not be listed as authors but may be acknowledged in the acknowledgment section.

2. Contributorship Statement

To ensure transparency, authors are encouraged to clearly describe each author's contribution to the research and manuscript preparation. The contribution statement may include roles such as:

  • Conceptualization of the study

  • Methodology design

  • Data collection

  • Data analysis

  • Writing the original draft

  • Reviewing and editing the manuscript

  • Supervision and project administration

  • Funding acquisition

This statement helps clarify the specific role of each contributor in the research project.

3. Corresponding Author Responsibilities

The corresponding author is responsible for managing communication with the journal during the submission, peer review, and publication process. The corresponding author must ensure that:

  • All listed authors have approved the manuscript submission.

  • All authors have reviewed and agreed on the final version of the manuscript.

  • All contributors who meet authorship criteria are included as authors.

  • Contributors who do not meet authorship criteria are properly acknowledged.

4. Changes in Authorship

Any request to add, remove, or rearrange authors after manuscript submission must be approved by the editorial office. Such changes must be accompanied by:

  • A written explanation for the requested change

  • Written consent from all listed authors and the author to be added or removed

The editorial board will review the request and determine whether the authorship change is acceptable.

5. Ethical Standards

The journal strongly discourages unethical authorship practices such as:

  • Guest authorship (adding individuals who did not contribute significantly)

  • Ghost authorship (excluding individuals who made significant contributions)

  • Gift authorship (including individuals as a favor or out of courtesy)

All authors are expected to follow ethical standards in authorship and ensure transparency in reporting their contributions.
